BGMEA organises BATEXPO 2026, held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean BGMEA acting as the organiser of BATEXPO 2026.

We only collect personal information you choose to send us through the forms on this website:

• Event registration — the pass you request, your full name, organisation, role or title, email address, phone number and country.
• Green Factory Tour registration — your full name, company and designation, nationality, preferred visit date, telephone number and email address.
• Contact form — your name, organisation, the kind of enquiry, your email address, country and your message.

Please do not include sensitive information (such as health or financial details) in a message.

When you submit a form, we also record the page you sent it from, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, and the time of submission. We use these to prevent spam and abuse and to investigate problems with a submission.

To protect the forms against automated abuse, we briefly count requests per visitor. These counters store only a one-way hash of the IP address, never the address itself, and expire within minutes.

Like any website, our servers may keep short-lived technical logs of requests for security and troubleshooting.

The public BATEXPO 2026 website does not set cookies, and it does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

Our administration area, used only by authorised staff, uses strictly necessary cookies to keep staff signed in. They are not used on the public website.

If this ever changes, we will update this policy before any such tool is used.

• To process your registration or tour application, confirm it and contact you about it.
• To answer your enquiry and route it to the right team.
• To plan, run and secure the event and the Green Factory Tour, including managing attendance and access.
• To send you information about BATEXPO 2026 that relates to your registration or enquiry.
• To keep the website and its forms secure and working, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Your information is seen only by authorised BATEXPO staff and by the service providers that help us run this website, under agreements that limit their use of it to providing their service to us:

• Website hosting — the servers that run this website and store its data.
• Email delivery (Resend) — used to send confirmations, notifications and replies.

We may also share information where needed to deliver the event you registered for (for example, venue access and accreditation), or where the law, a court or a public authority requires it.

Some of our service providers, including our email provider, may process information outside Bangladesh. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information remains protected.

• Registrations, tour applications and enquiries — for as long as needed to organise the event and follow up on it, and then deleted or anonymised.
• Email delivery records — deleted automatically after 30 days (180 days for messages that failed to send, so the failure can be investigated).
• Abuse-prevention counters — expire within minutes.

We may keep information longer where the law requires it.

This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Submitted information is stored on access-controlled servers, only authorised staff can view it, staff accounts are protected by two-factor authentication, and access to records is logged. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our safeguards regularly.

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete your information, or stop using it for a particular purpose;
• stop contacting you about BATEXPO 2026.

To make a request, email info@batexpo.com.bd from the address you registered with. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within a reasonable time. Deleting a registration may mean we can no longer admit you to the event.

This website and the event are intended for industry professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

This website links to other sites, such as social media profiles. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this website.

We may update this policy as the event and this website evolve. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
