Representing the industry to government, global buyers and international partners.
Bangladesh Apparel and Textile Exposition (BATEXPO) is a flagship international event organized by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association - BGMEA. It was created to showcase the strength, capabilities and potential of Bangladesh's ready-made garment industry to the world.
First launched in 1989, BATEXPO emerged as an important meeting point for Bangladeshi apparel manufacturers, international buyers, brands, sourcing professionals, policymakers and other industry stakeholders. Over the years, the exposition played a significant role in promoting “Made in Bangladesh”, strengthening buyer-manufacturer relationships and enhancing the global visibility of Bangladesh's apparel industry.
For more than two decades, successive editions of BATEXPO reflected the remarkable growth of Bangladesh from an emerging garment-producing nation into one of the world's leading apparel sourcing destinations. Beyond showcasing products and manufacturing capabilities, the event facilitated business networking, buyer-seller engagement, knowledge sharing and dialogue on the future of the industry.
The Silver Jubilee edition of BATEXPO will take in 2026 with a renewed vision with the theme - A LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE. A FUTURE OF INNOVATION. Today, BATEXPO represents more than an exhibition. It is a platform connecting Bangladesh with the world.
From its beginning in 1989 to its renewed journey in 2026, BATEXPO continues to tell the story of Bangladesh's apparel industry- its growth, resilience, transformation and global ambition.

Silver jubilee. One Remarkable Milestone.
For Silver Jubilee editions, BATEXPO has been where the people who make, move and shape apparel come together. A name the industry has known, and trusted for a generation.
25th
This is that milestone. Silver jubilee editions of leadership, distilled into two days and pointed squarely at what Bangladeshi apparel builds next. Not a look back, but a launchpad.
Why this is a national statement, not a trade show.
The readymade garment sector is the backbone of Bangladesh's export economy. Its standing in the world is a matter of national consequence — which is why BATEXPO 2026 opens and closes at the highest level of the state.
Opened by the state
Inauguration by the Honourable Prime Minister, and a closing address by the Honourable President: the event framed, from first minute to last, as a national priority.
A defining transition
Bangladesh is preparing for its graduation from Least Developed Country status, a shift that reshapes trade preferences and sharpens global competition. The story has to be told now.
Government & industry, aligned
Ministers across Commerce, Industries, Textiles and Labour stand alongside the industry, a shared commitment to the sector's next decade.
As the world moved forward, Bangladesh moved with purpose.
Perception lags reality. Global buyers, press and policymakers still picture the industry of a decade ago. The numbers tell a different story.
Sustainable. Compliant. Innovative. Culturally confident. This is the industry reintroducing itself to the world, on its own terms, in its own city.
