History of BATEXPO
First launched in 1989, BATEXPO - the Bangladesh Apparel and Textile Exposition - was created to showcase the strength, capability and potential of the country's ready-made garment industry to the world. Across successive editions it became an important meeting point for manufacturers, international buyers, brands, sourcing professionals and policymakers alike, helping promote "Made in Bangladesh," strengthen buyer–manufacturer relationships, and raise the industry's global visibility.
For more than two decades, each edition mirrored a larger story: Bangladesh's rise from an emerging garment-producing nation into one of the world's leading apparel sourcing destinations. Beyond products and manufacturing, BATEXPO became a place for networking, buyer–seller engagement, knowledge sharing and dialogue on the industry's future.
In 2026, the Silver Jubilee edition returns with a renewed vision - A Legacy of Excellence, A Future of Innovation. Today, BATEXPO is more than an exhibition; it is a platform connecting Bangladesh with the world, still telling the story of an industry defined by growth, resilience, transformation and global ambition.
